Is Gordon Brown about to step down as an MP? New Statesman says it's about time!

Gordon Brown, says the New Statesman, is to step down as an MP at the 2015 general election. The former PM will have clocked up 32 years in parliament, including three as prime minister and five since he left Downing Street. The truth is that we never see Gordon in Westminster. He has spoken in almost no debates since 2010. It is often like a scene in Flash Gordon, the 1980s movie, when he does appear every 4 months or so. Everyone literally says "Gordon's alive!" He comes for a day then disappears not to be seen again for months...
